An airplane headed for Deer Lake, western Newfoundland, had to make an emergency landing at Stephenville Airport yesterday, November 15, because of an issue with the landing gear.
Provincial Airlines Flight 1922 aircraft tried to land in Deer Lake Airport when it encountered the problem, the airline revealed in a news release.
Given adverse weather conditions, the pilot circled around prior to heading to Stephenville, where the emergency landing was necessary.
The airline said that 47 passengers and 4 crew were aboard the Dash 8 aircraft.
No injuries have been reported.
