One pilot is dead, another hospitalized after an airplane crash at Texas Air Force base.
Air Force T-38C Talon has crashed Tuesday night at Laughlin Air Force Base. The plane is a training aircraft.
The pilots' names are being withheld pending family notification. The Air Force said in a statement the injured pilot ha been taken to Val Verde Regional Medical Center (Del Rio, Texas).
Emergency responders were on the scene. According to the Air Force statement, he crash will undergo investigation by a board of officers.
Laughlin Air Force Base is approx 150 miles west of San Antonio TX and is home to 85th Flying Training Squadron, the unit which trains about 150 students per year.
