A light aircraft crashed into sea off Pembrokeshire, Wales, just metres from a popular beach with holidaymakers.

The Piper Cherokee plane crashed around 20 minutes after taking off because its engine failed.

The GBP 30,000 aircraft took off from Haveforwest Airfield prior to crashing into sea 18 miles away at the beach.

The pilot, still unnamed, is suffering from shock and treated at Withybush Hospital, Havefordwest.
