13 people survived a small plane crash at Burnet Municipal Airport Saturday morning, July 21.
Burnet County Sheriff's Office announced they had received a call about the crash at around 9:00 a.m.
The airplane, C-47 vintage aircraft called Bluebonnet Belle, crashed during take off, according to Commemorative Air Force. C-47 is assigned to Highland Lakes Squadron, and at the time of accident was heading toward Oshkosh Wisconsin for an airshow.
All 13 people onboard were able to exit the plane, according to Burnet County Sheriff's Office.
One passenger was airlifted by helicopter due to significant burn injuries to San Antonio burn unit, a spokesperson with Commemorative Air Force revealed.
The plane caught fire and ignited nearby grass. Fire fighter managed to extinguish the fire.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the accident.
