A West Wind Aviation plane with 22 passengers and 3 crew onboard has crashed shortly after take-off from Fond du Lac. Fortunately, no fatalities are reported.

The plane crash happened at about 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, December 13, and emergency crews located the aircraft less than 1 kilometre from Fond du Lac airstrip.

While multiple injuries were reported, there didn't appear to be any fatalities.

Local emergency responders. RCMP members from Stony Rapids helped with the rescue. Rescue resources from Royal Canadian Air Force and Search & Rescue were on the way to the scene last night.

Transport Canada is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
