Starting June 2018, United Airlines adds daily summertime nonstop flights between Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport and Fresno adding to the number of options now available for Fresno tourists heading to the Midwest.
The once-daily evening flights begin on June 7, 2018 the city announced yesterday afternoon, November 20.
O’Hare is the world's 4th largest airport, and according to Mayor Lee Brand the new flights provided greater opportunity and convenience for people traveling to the Midwest, going on to Europe or to other destinations on the East Coast. He added that also provided greater access to Fresno U.S. for business people.
The Fresno-Chicago route is one of the service additions that United Airlines is making to its national network. Currently, United flies between Fresno and Denver, but American Airlines already offers nonstop service from Fresno to Dallas/Fort Worth.
The flights will be operated by SkyWest Airlines under United Express brand. 76-seat Embraer E175 twin-engine jets will serve the route.
