Two people are dead after their small plane crashed into a therapy center for kids with autism, according to Fort Lauderdale Fire-Rescue Department.
The two occupants of the aircraft were the only fatalities. There were 8 adults and 5 children inside the center at the time of accident but no one else was injured. The teachers managed to safely evacuate the kids.
The crash happened Saturday afternoon, December 1, at 1000 block of Northwest 62nd Street officials revealed shortly after the airplane took off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport.
The National Transportation Safety Board and Federal Aviation Administration are investigating the accident.
